This online course is designed to train and certify Arizona Class A and B Underground Storage Tank Operators. This self-paced course allows the student to start and pause the training during its delivery. The course must be completed within 6 months of its start. The course utilizes visual aids and audio commentary to facilitate the efficient and comprehensive learning of the subject matter required to meet Illinois state regulations for a UST Class A or B Operator. At the end of the training, a 30-question exam will be administered. The foundation of our training program is a 4-hour online course that utilizes photos and other visual aids to facilitate the efficient and comprehensive learning of the subject matter required to pass the state-mandated exam. We highly recommend taking the course in one sitting to help you better retain the information.  This Includes UST Service Technician Qualifications UST Systems Monitoring Equipment Containment Testing Health and Safety Study Materials We provide students with a consolidated binder of reference materials to prepare for the exam and use as an information resource in their business operations. These materials include copies of the code sections, presentation materials, reference charts, and other items. At the end of each study section, students are given sample questions similar to those that will be asked on the exam. The intent of the practice test is to obtain an indication of the students' knowledge and to guide their outside study. In addition, students will receive multiple practice tests to assist them during their preparation for the exam. Ask the Experts Over fifty years of UST expertise at your fingertips. Our professionals will be available to answer any questions that may arise during students' home study.   For best results, Tait recommends students to study the course material a week after completing the course and then take the exam. Requirements Of Class C Training A Class C operator is an employee and is, generally, the first line of response to events indicating emergency conditions. This individual is responsible for responding to alarms or other indications of emergencies caused by spills or releases from UST systems. This individual notifies the Class B or Class A operator and appropriate emergency responders when necessary. Not all employees of the facility are necessarily Class C operators. This individual typically and at a minimum must be trained to: Control or monitor the dispensing or sale of regulated substances, and Take action as the initial response to emergencies: Situations posing an immediate danger or threat to the public or to the environment and that require immediate action. Alarms caused by spills or releases from a UST system. Course Description This course provides the Class C UST Operator an overview of the training needed to respond to emergency conditions at underground storage tank (UST) facilities. Our Class C Operator Course and Certification provides training on the following: Introduction to a generic UST facility including the major fuel system components and emergency equipment The roles and responsibilities of the Class A, B and C Operators. Site-specific emergency procedures development Emergency contact procedures Safety awareness for employees and customers Monitoring of the UST facility Overfill prevention Fire safety and introduction to fire extinguishers Alarm panel recognition and response procedures Fuel spill containment and cleanup At the end of the course, a 10 question exam is administered and you will be required to answer 8 out of 10 questions correctly to be certified.
